That with respect to Report EC2026-0629, the following be adopted, as amended: That Council: 1. Initiate recruitment for the establishment of the committee as described in Attachment 3; 2. Direct a one-time budget request of $454 thousand as presented in the New Operating Funding request section of this report, to be included for consideration in the 2027-2030 Business Plans and Budgets; 3. That three meetings of the Fire Services Committee be included in the Consolidated Council Calendar for Q3 and Q4 of 2027 and brought to the Organizational Meeting of Council on 2026 October 20 for consideration; and 4. Direct Administration to make any necessary corresponding changes to the public-member recruitment materials and skills matrix in Attachment 3.
